Born and raised in British Columbia, multi-platinum Juno Award winner and GRAMMY® nominated singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen showed early signs of the generational talent she'd one day become: spending her youngest days performing in talent shows with her father, starring in community productions of music theater, and finding her voice in songwriting. After graduating from the Canadian College of Performing Arts and placing third on Canadian Idol, Jepsen broke out of Canada with "Call Me Maybe" from her U.S. debut album Kiss. The hit single broke records as the most performed song in SOCAN history, climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, was certified Diamond in the U.S., and became a pop culture phenomenon, selling over 56 million singles worldwide and amassing over 1 billion Spotify streams. It wasn't until after Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015 that her music became regarded as what NPR called "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts". Following the positive acclaim of the album, Jepsen dove back into her 100+ demos from the album sessions to release E·MO·TION Side B, a companion album that would kick off a fan-beloved tradition in Jepsen's album cycles. Carly Rae Jepsen's 2019 album Dedicated retained the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor with an experimental ‘70s lean. The following year, she delivered Dedicated Side B which included previously unreleased music from the Dedicated sessions and shot to #1 on the iTunes chart upon release.Last fall, Jepsen emerged from a period of isolation with The Loneliest Time, which Rolling Stone called "her most emotionally adventurous music yet". A continuation of her critically acclaimed album, and the third in a series of B-side albums, The Loveliest Time arrived in July of 2023 with Pitchfork stating, "once again Carly Rae Jepsen's B-sides are just as good if not better than her A-sides."A celebrated live act, Jepsen has sold out global tours across North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe and played to crowds at world-renowned venues including Radio City Music Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Jepsen has played at major festivals like Glastonbury, Coachella, and Lollapalooza, and has performed with Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Dev Hynes, Rufus Wainwright, boygenius, and Tom Hanks. With her hand-picked community of songwriters and producers (including Jack Antonoff, John Hill, Patrik Berger, Tavish Crowe, Rostam Batmanglij to name a few) and a lyric-driven approach, Jepsen's taste and instinct has carved out an instantly identifiable sound in the pop landscape where critical acclaim meets radio-ready hits.In addition to her career as a recording artist, Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, Frenchy, in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen also voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie LEAP! which featured her hit single "Cut To The Feeling."
