Reminiscent of early 2000s pop singer-songwriters, Dominique Way is a breath of fresh air in the current Canadian pop music landscape. Released in the fall of 2025, her debut EP Sprig was co-written and co-produced by the Grammy-nominated, Harper Gordon. The artist says of her first project : Sprig is the sprout of my developing and ever-growing musical journey. It's also the nickname my mom has been calling me since I was little, so it felt like the perfect title for my first body of work. Gaining over a million streams in just a couple of months, the release earned her spots on playlists like Spotify's Fresh Finds Global, All New Indie, Oyster, and Indie Update, as well as Apple Music's playlists like New Music Daily, in my room and Alt Pop. Released in the spring of 2025, Sprig B-Sides is a collection of tracks that remain closely connected to the first half of Sprig, but with a more subtle, intimate feel. Building on the essence of her debut EP, Dominique created a comforting space for listeners to connect with their own emotions, free from judgment or pressure—a place to sit with those feelings, just as she did during the creation of the project.
