In a world filled with bullshit, Rare Americans are the real deal. Since launching in 2018, Rare Americans have established an identity as inventive storytellers. Their songs, paired with narrative-driven animated videos have garnered the band their first top 100 Billboard album, 500M+ streams, 2M+ social media followers, and sold out international tours. Hailing from Vancouver, BC, frontman James Priestner and his brother Jared formed the band on an impromptu trip to the Caribbean. The band now consists of guitarists Lubo Ivan & Jan Cajka, and drummer Duran Ritz. Coming off the success of 4 albums and their EP, "Songs that Don't Belong", the band is set to release their most ambitious project to date, "Searching for Strawberries: The Story of Jongo Bongo", a revolutionary 30-minute, fully animated musical film. As a first of its kind, this immersive piece tells the true story of Rare American's bass player, "Jongo" and his transformation from corporate pawn, to rock star. You'll be taken on a trip around the world and left questioning your own life's path, as Jongo ditches the rat race of company life and exchanges it for a journey of self-discovery on the Santiago De Camino, a 900km pilgrimage through Spain. After their first year of touring in 2022, Rare Americans' thought-provoking lyricism, combined with crooked and catchy music, has seen them amass a global following leading to multiple sold out shows in over 13 countries. Beginning in March 2023, Rare Americans will begin the "Milk & Honey Tour", spanning throughout Canada, UK, and Europe. With tickets already selling fast, the tour is shaping to be another smash success for the band.
